Clinical Pharmacology Trial
The Library is currently trialling the Clinical Pharmacology database until November 3.
Clinical Pharmacology is a searchable database for information on U.S. FDA-approved drugs, including prescription and non-prescription (over the counter) pharmaceuticals. Available information includes product comparisons, a newsletter, a quick reference guide and the ability to create handouts for patient information and reports on drug interaction. Access to ToxEd and the Elsevier Global Drug Names database is also included in this trial.

I’ve had a look at the program, and my early reaction is that it’s an excellent resource, giving very good in depth detail on many aspects of drug action. It offers sections over and above those that were offered previously in Harrisons, and I think would be a useful resource for pharmacy students researching pharmacy practice as well as pharmacology

I think this is a great resource. I find it easy to use and a good source of information. In fact, I have already used it to prepare for a 3rd pharmacy assessment. I think I would benefit greatly if I could access this database on a more premenant basis.

I thinks that it is a great website especially for pharamcy students as we do pharmacology throughout our course. The content in it is very useful. I would difinitely use it as a future reference.
