Over the next few weeks Training @ La Trobe will be running EndNote X2 sessions for academic staff and postgraduate students at Bundoora.

Detailed information about the sessions, as well as available dates and times can be viewed via  EndNote X2 Training (PDF).

The cost is $20 per half day session; and registration is through the Training @ La Trobe website.

Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2009

manbookerThe shortlist for the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2009 will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday 8 September) at a press conference at Man Group’s London headquarters.  If you want to have a look at the longlist it is available on the Man Booker Prizes website.

Comments and discussion are encouraged on their Debate page.  Have you had a chance to read any of the chosen titles?  What do you think about the judges’ choices?

The winner of the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2009 will be announced on Tuesday 6 October.

Rabelais item about Library fines

moneyIn the 27th August issue of Rabelais, Candice Ryan’s item, ‘Library fines a way into student funds’, highlighted student concerns over ‘heavy fines’ for overdue materials.

We’re interested to know what blog readers think of Library fines at Bundoora.  Do you think they are unfair?  Do you think students are well enough informed about the Library’s policy on overdue materials?
