Melbourne Library opens its new doors

There was lots of excitement at Melbourne campus Library this morning as crowds gathered in the Agora to be the first through the new ground level entrance.

To celebrate the occasion, the first 100 students through the new doors received goodie bags loaded with freebies provided by the Library and many of the Agora traders.

The new entrance will make it easier to access the Library’s new learning spaces from the social areas of the Agora. The old entrance on level 2 had been the main access to the Library for over 40 years. Those doors are now closed, never to re-open.

Building work in the Library on level 2 continues and is expected to be completed by November.
