Request TV – trial access

La Trobe now has trial access to Informit’s RequestTV service until 14 December.

RequestTV is a fully searchable and browsable program guide of television content from the free-to-air networks.  Links within the records allow efficient and streamlined ordering of programs for dvd delivery. All programs for all networks, plus ABC2 are recorded on a 24/7 basis, and will be available from the database’s inception.

Access to RequestTV is available only to Australian educational institutions with a Screenrights licence.  Requests for dvd orders will be referred to the Library’s appointed administrator.

As this is a trial, all requests will be assessed for possible acquisition based on their relevance to the teaching and research of the university.
