Extended hours are about to start- have you registered your card?
New extended hours are about to start (28 April) at the Melbourne campus Library. This means students and staff can use Level 1 (ground floor) of the Library after normal closing hours, under study hall conditions (the Reserve desk will be open until midnight with limited services).
For safety and security reasons, students and staff need to register online with University Security to access the Library during extended hours.
Melbourne Library opening hours during the extended hours trial:
Monday – Thursday
Standard opening hours 8 am – 10 pm
Extended hours 10 pm – 8 am

Extended hours N/A
The Library is cleared (everyone is asked to leave the building) at 10 pm Monday to Thursday and at 6 pm on Friday. This signals the end of full library service. If students or staff then wish to access the Library, they need to re-enter the building by swiping their student or staff card at the swipe units at the main entry. This is a trial and will operate during semester and exam periods only in 2011:
Semester 1: Thursday 28 April to Thursday 30 June
Semester 2: Monday 25 July to Thursday 24 November

We welcome feedback from staff and students about this trial via the online feedback form, or email.
