Arranging extended loans

Retrieving books and journals from open shelves.
The Inquiry Desk requires 24 hours notice to collect material from open shelves.  Full details of call number, title, author are required.

Photocopying Service
The Inquiry Desk requires 48 hours notice, during week days, to be able to complete any requests for photocopying.  Full details of call number, title, author are required. (Volume and page numbers for journal articles).

Allocation of Equity and Access Study Carrels

An Study Carrel on Level 1 is specifically designated for students with special needs. This Study Carrel may be booked at or by phoning the Inquiry Desk.

Materials in alternative formats

Assistance is provided to students with a print disablity to obtain material in a format suitable for their needs. Students need to contact the Equality and Diversity Centre Coordinator with these requests.

Wheelchair Access and Other Facilities

  • The general entrance of the library is on the second (concourse) level and is wheelchair accessible by an external lift to the left of the Library entrance.
  • A lift is located inside the library which provides access to all floors.
  • There are wheelchair accessible toilets on Level 1 (ground) and Level 3.
  • The Inquiry Desk and Research Help Desk have lowered sections for wheelchair access and a number of Information Workstations on Level 2 are suitable for wheelchair access.  Other needs can be accommodated on request.
  • A tactile indicator is near the entrance of the library.
  • Computer Workstations 41 and 42 on Level 2 of the Library, may be booked at the Inquiry desk or by phoning 9479 2922, by students with disabilities and by students using specific products e.g. CLIB.
