City (Melbourne) Library Service
The City Campus operates a 'virtual' library service.
City Campus students are also encouraged to visit and use the Bundoora Campus Library.
Collections
- A small Reserve Collection of high-use material is located at Reception on the ground floor, for use within the City Campus building. 2 items may be viewed for 3 hours upon presentation of a valid student ID card.
- Collections at the Bundoora Campus Library support teaching and research at the City Campus.
Borrowing Information
Try to get the articles and other online material you require youself, via the Library Catalogue and Databases. If you need assistance contact Library Research Help Desk. For items which are not accessible online, City Campus staff and students may order books and journal articles from the La Trobe University Libraries. Log into the Interlending & Document Delivery Service using your University Username and Password.
All books requested through the Interlending & Document Delivery Service should be collected from City Campus Reception upon presentation of your student/staff LTU ID card. Journal articles/book chapters are delivered electronically.
Books in Reserve or 3 day loan can only be borrowed in person at the appropriate library.
Books may be returned:
- in the return bins at City Campus Reception (City Campus staff/students only)
- through the book chutes outside the Bundoora Campus Library
- by mail to Document Delivery, Library, La Trobe University, Victoria 3086, at your own cost.
Postgraduates may also request items not held by La Trobe University libraries (quotas apply). Log into the Interlending & Document Delivery Service using your University Username and Password.

Facilities for People with Disabilities
- The front entrance is accessible via wheelchair. A lift, located inside the building, provides access to all floors. Disabled parking and toilets are available. Contact Reception for further assistance.
Computer Facilities & Equipment
- The Information Access Room and the Computer Resource Centre are located on the ground floor and together contain 7 PCs connected to the University network and the Internet. These workstations provide access to the Library Catalogue and Databases and also have full versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It is necessary to logon with your username and password from your "Statement of Account".
- Power outlets are also available for laptops.
Photocopying and Printing
- Cost is 10c per copy for both printing and photocopying. A coin-operated photocopier is situated in the Computer Resource Centre on the ground floor and a printer is situated at City Campus Reception on the ground floor. Pick up and pay for printing at Reception
Places to Study
- There are 6 personal study carrels and easy chairs available for use by students.
