Atlas of living Australia
Connect to: Atlas of living Australia
The Atlas is a national collaboration between the CSIRO, as lead agency; Australian museums, herbaria and other biological collections, and the Australian Government. It is a biodiversity information management system with a goal to integrate information on all Australian species. The Atlas is building infrastructure and tools to enable researchers and other users of biodiversity information to find, access, combine and visualise data on Australian plants and animals. To achieve these goals the Atlas promotes the free and open exchange of biodiversity information to support science, policy making and public understanding.
