Borchardt's Message

To those worthy,

If you are reading this, it means you have found my hidden room.

My name is Peter Borchardt and I know every secret within the walls of this library.

Sadly, I cannot be here forever so I am sending you on a mission to find the clues in the library and solve my mysteries.

The clues are in plain sight. There is nothing to move, dismantle, or remove.

Use your wit and not your muscle, and if you are worthy, those secrets and their rewards will be revealed.

Good luck!

To those worthy,
Changes in time are marked by maps. I've left a clue in this diary that has been veiled by time. Walk to & find my map on a pillar on level 1 near the entrance & cafe. On this map, follow my footprints through time marked by X to discover the letter combination to unlock my diary.

Get a hint (Only if you're stuck)

Letter Hint

There is a map on a pillar on level 1 near the cafe. You will find a letter circled in a diary (journal) entry at each physical location marked on the map with an X. Walk to each physical location to get the letter. This letter will help you work out the letter code to unlock the online diary.

Letter Order Hint

Place the magnifying glass over the map's legend to find the order or sequence of the letters for the online combination lock on the diary. A single number will appear for each legend item. This is the sequence.

To those worthy,

Now that you have followed my journey through time, I can tell you a part of my secret. You are on the trail of . It is hidden within this library.
I have locked away the password behind this code:

Get the cipher key behind the painting above my desk (in my secret room) to decode the above code into its true password. Use the true password at the very end.

To those worthy,
Walk to the back of level 1. On the left wall, between two very large paintings, hidden in plain sight lies the beauty of the arts which hides my code to unlock this safe. Look for my long term friends and see what they do. Appreciate the artwork of people, enjoy my poem about my friends and admire the red plaque titled "The writings on the wall".
Good luck!

Get a hint (Only if you're stuck)

Number Hint

Find the staff members in the artwork that matches the poem. Each staff member will have a corresponding number that you need to put into the online safe.

Number Order Hint

The sequence or order is in the poem as one, two, three, and last. Use the sequence or order to arrange the numbers in the artwork.

To those worthy,
On my last day I was tasked with creating a display for the history of the library. You will find it on level 2 against the outside glass wall of the toilets. I have left a secret hidden within the display. Find it, and solve it

Get a hint (Only if you're stuck)

Location Hint

The dewey decimal number of a book can be found in one of the WANTED posters. Find that book on the shelf on level 3 to get the grid coordinates.

Using the Grid Coordinates Hint

These grid coordinates will mark the location of the door (on the online map on the laptop) you need to go to claim your prize (you also need the decoded password).

On this computer is a clue to help you claim your prize.

To those worthy,
Now that I have retired, I can finally admit it. I have found it difficult to keep up with technology in the library! As old as I may be, I can see the benefits. Students can now stay up to date with important information via the Library website news or the TV screens. Walk to the TV screen on Level 2 and on this screen you will find clues to where I have hidden the login password to my computer.

Get a hint (Only if you're stuck)

Location of Room Hint

Once you find the TV screen with workshops, you will notice a workshop name that is not a workshop. The room number that corresponds to that workshop name is the room you need to find. From outside that room, you will find a strange piece of art that looks like an eye.

Number Hint

The number for the online computer login can be found looking through the 'eye' artwork. Look at the colour of the shapes in the eye. Do they match anything on the online computer login? You need to be at eye level and stand at a certain distance away from the 'eye' artwork to align the numbers to shapes.
