- Australian Book Review (ABR) indexed in APAFT: (Australian Public Affairs Information Service Full Text).
To search for reviews: to search ABR specifically: click database tab, locate APAFT database, click “Title List” and then select “Australian Book Review” to search this journal only
- Book Review Digest Plus (via the State Library of Victoria) -
Includes book summaries, full-text reviews, review excerpts, citations and more for over 550,000 books (including more than 100,000 full text reviews). With coverage back to 1983... Free registration required for access from outside the State Library of Victoria.
- Current Contents Connect (via Web of Knowledge) – indexed in Web of Knowledge, indexes reviews from scholarly journals.
To search for reviews: Use “Advanced Search”, select “document type: book review” (1999-)
- Factiva (News and Business Information) – search for reviews from National and International newspapers eg The Australian, The Age, New York Times.
- Global Books in Print - Includes fulltext “Title reviews” from journals in the publishing trade.
To search for reviews: Use “advanced search” to search by “review source”
- New York Review of Books and the New York Times Book Review are both indexed in Web of Science.
To search for reviews: Accessed through “general search”, “document type: book review”. To search these specific journals search in: source title
- Project Muse - Covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics, and many others (1993).
To search for reviews: Search by “Author Reviewed” or “Title Reviewed”
- ProQuest 5000 – Contains reviews from journals and magazines, many fulltext.
To search for reviews: Use “Advanced Search” search by document type “Review”

To search for reviews: “ Select Sources”, “Find a Source” enter “Times Literary Supplement” to search here specifically.
- Web of Science - Search current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,500 high impact research journals.
