• Book review digest (1945-) check the volume for the year of publication & the following year. 1983- is available online via the State Library of Victoria: free registration required for access from outside the State Library of Victoria.
• Index to Australian Book Reviews (1965-81) Arranged alphabetically by author
• Index to Book Reviews in the Humanities (1960-1990)
• Social science citation index (1966-2001) online from 1975 via Web of Science
• The London Review of Books (1980-), some reviews from 1998- are available online

Internet Sites

• AcqWeb’s Directory of Book Reviews - a list of general review sites, also contained are subject specific lists including: popular and scholarly online journals, newspapers, website and more
• H-Net Humanities and Social Sciences Online Reviews  - an online scholarly review resource created by a consortium of scholars and teachers
• The New York Times Online  - articles from the New York Times from 1851 to the present. Articles from 1987 onwards are available free of charge. Articles from the period 1851-1922 incur a cost, and 1923-1986 have some free articles, others with a cost. To search for reviews specifically click “Books” on the left navigation pane, this allows you to search for reviews from 1981-
