• key concepts or content
• limiting or qualifying words and phrases

At La Trobe University this process may be called Topic Analysis or Question Analysis.

This skill will allow you to fully understand questions and enable you to select and evaluate relevant resources. You will also be shown how to decide what type of information you need and how much is necessary for your particular task.
