Arranging extended loans

Retrieving books and journals from open shelves.
The Inquiry Desk requires 24 hours notice to collect material from open shelves.  Full details of call number, title, author are required.

Photocopying Service.
The Inquiry Desk requires 48 hours notice, during week days, to be able to complete any requests for photocopying.  Full details of call number, title, author are required. (Volume and page numbers for journal articles).

Equity and Access Rooms.
These rooms have specialised equipment and are available on Level 1. They may be booked by phone or in person at the Inquiry Desk.

Materials in alternative formats

The Equity and Diversity Centre provides students with a print disability with assistance to obtain course material and library resources in a format suitable for their needs. Students need to contact the Equality and Diversity Centre Coordinator with these requests.

Wheelchair Access and Other Facilities

  • The general entrance of the library is on ground level.
  • A lift is located inside the library which provides access to all floors.
  • There are wheelchair accessible toilets on all levels of the Library.
  • The Inquiry Desk and Research Help Desk have lowered sections for wheelchair access and a number of Information Workstations are suitable for wheelchair access.  Other needs can be accommodated on request.
  • A tactile indicator is near the entrance of the library.
