No more PINS for La Trobe University staff and students

On March 31 2006, the Library is changing its authentication system.  All La Trobe University Staff and Students will use their University usernames and passwords, and not their PINS, for authentication purposes, i.e. to access restricted materials, view and renew loans, make bookings, and place Holds on items in the catalogue.

This is the same login used for email, Student Online, OASIS and WebCT. Students are provided with this information on their Statement of Account. For University staff, it is the one they use to login in to their computers every day. 

NOTE:  all other clients will continue to use PINS for authentication purposes. These include

• TAFE students and staff at Albury-Wodonga
• CAVAL borrowers
• MDFRC staff
• Language Centre students
• Foundation students
• community borrowers
• alumni
• special borrowers.
