Information about Holds, April 2007 Podcast Transcript

If you want to borrow something that's already on loan, you can place a hold on it, this means that when it's returned the Library will keep it aside for you. When it's ready for you to pick up, you will receive an email via your La Trobe email account.

To place a hold online, you will need to locate the item in the catalogue and click on the 'Request a hold' button.

Unfortunately, you cannot request holds on reserve materials or items only available for 1, 3 or 7 day loans.

A maximum of four holds is permitted for undergrads and postgrads. Staff can request up to 8 holds.

If you want to place a hold on a book which is available at another campus, just ask at the service desk.
