Borrowing

All borrowers must have their valid student card with them in order to borrow. Your student card will enable you to borrow from the Library at any of the six campus Libraries of La Trobe University.

The quota applies across all campuses of La Trobe University. There is a total quota of 2 items for 3 Day, 7 Day and Reserve.

Renewals
You may renew your items online, in person or by telephone.

Request a Hold
La Trobe University students are eligible to request material directly online via the Library catalogue.

Fines and Overdue Penalities
All overdue items incur fines. All fines incurred at Loans, Audiovisual, Serials and Reserve, from all campuses are added together.

Library Notices
The Library sends all notices to La Trobe University students by email, including overdue notices, recall notices, and hold pickup notifications.

Borrowing from Other La Trobe University Libraries
Books and photocopies of journal articles held at other campus libraries can be sent to you at your campus library.

Borrowing from Other Academic Libraries
To borrow from other Victorian university and TAFE libraries, obtain a CAVAL card from the Loans/Inquiry Desks.
You may borrow in person from other Australian university libraries interstate with your current Student Card.
