The Friends of the L. M. Montgomery Institute

The Friends of the L. M. Montgomery Institute at the University of Prince Edward Island is accepting donations for the purpose of conserving the extensive collection of Montgomery print materials and memorabilia. Many Montgomery, Macdonald, Macneill, and Campbell family members have donated materials that belonged to the author -- from inscribed and signed books to clothing and jewelry. Montgomery enthusiasts from all over the world have donated first-edition books, vintage magazines and newspapers containing first publications of Montgomery's stories and poems, and much more. The collection is a treasure trove for Montgomery scholars and is constantly being searched for insights into Montgomery's life and work.

Keeping the collection in good condition is more than a labour of love—it requires a considerable commitment of time and funds. Your donation will help ensure that this collection will be maintained for generations to come. You may donate electronically through the LMM Institute website at www.lmmontgomery.ca/friendsor send a cheque to The L. M. Montgomery Institute, Robertson Library, University of Prince Edward Island, 550 University Avenue, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4P3 Canada (cheques should be made out to the University of PEI with "Friends of LMMI" in the memo line). You may contact Kim Roach atkaroach@upei.cafor more information.
