This Royal Commission was appointed on 11 January 2013 to inquire into institutional responses to child sexual abuse in Australia. This report presents the interim findings of the Royal Commission. It describes the work that has been completed so far and key learnings to date, and asks for additional time and resources to complete the terms of reference and make more informed recommendations. These matters are discussed in volume 1 of the report; volume 2 shares the stories of people who experienced abuse in residential care, school, juvenile justice, community service, and religious settings.
