Tu sai, Amor, che ne la prim'etade

Translation

Love, I have put my hope in you for a long time.
and, grant me, the time has been long enough.

You know, Love, that you made me her liege since my youth.
and I always followed her over the straight path;
but I did not find in her enough compassion
even to say "O my!"
Love, you only know what I would like.
and you do not lack the opportunity or the time.
