Text

Togliendo l'una a l'altra foglie e fiori.
donne i' vidi fra le fronde belle
con dolci canti far lor ghirlandelle.

Una ve n'era fra l'altre pi· bella:
con dolce sguardo mi disse: - Te', vuo'la? -
Ond'io smarretti e non dissi parola.

Ben se n'accorse e pur la mi don=e:
ond'io per servo sempre a lei mi d=e.

Translation

Amidst beautiful greenery
I saw women taking leaves and flowers one from the other.
and making little garlands while singing sweet songs.

One of them was more beautiful than the others.
With a sweet look she said to me: "Here, do you want it?"
I became flustered and did not answer.

She understood, and gave it to me.
so that I forever gave myself to her in servitude.
