Text

Donna lizadra de zafir vestita
e de cristal sedT sopra un diamante
segno di pura fT fort'e costante.

Coperta di color di bel smaraldo
era la testa in segno d'onestate
e 'l viso pien di angelica beltate.

Al collo poi li vidi un lazo d'oro
tal che me fa sperar, s8 ch'io non moro.

Translation

A lovely woman, with a dress made of sapphire
and crystal, was sitting on a diamond.
a symbol of pure, strong and constant faith.

Her head was clad in bright emerald green.
a symbol of her guilelessness.
and her face radiated angelic beauty.

I saw around her neck a golden necklace.
from which I receive hope I shall not die.
