Text

Tuo gentil cortesia mi lega e prende
perchT, sanza alcun mio degno servire
nT merit'altro, m'hai fatto sentire
quanta largheza e virt· in te dipende.

Dunque ragion a te m'obliga tanto
che questa ballatella col suo canto
grazie infinite a te per me si rende.

Translation

Your noble kindness holds and binds me.
because, without any worthy service
or merit on my part, you made me feel
how much generosity and virtue resides in you.

Therefore I have so many reasons to be in your debt
that I send you this little ballad.
bringing with its song my infinite thanks.
