In quella parte che si lieva 'l giorno
donzell'apparve a me col vis'addorno.

E stava in un giardin sur un bel monte.
dove posato s'er un mie falcone.
e se spechiava in una chiara fonte
stando tra belli fior d'ogni ragione.
Quasi una dea parea tra le persone
che ammirando lei stavano intorno.

In that part where the sun rises
a girl appeared to me with an exquisite face.

She was in a garden on a fair mountain
where a falcon of mine had landed.
and she mirrored herself in a clear spring.
among beautiful flowers of every kind.
She appeared almost like a goddess among those
who were admiringly around her.
