Text

fOr quelle bianche e dilicate braccia
e' rubinetti e le rosate labia
ch'a le mie fOr coperchio
foco spirGr che m'arde quando ghiaccia.
Non so che pi· mi faccia
chT tu m'hai posto dove tu suo' porre.

Translation

What shall I do, my Lord.
if, the kinder you are to my desire.
the hotter is the flame of her great worth?

For, since those white and delicate
arms encircled my neck.
and her ruby and pink lips covered my own.
breathing out fire which burns me when it freezes.
I have been her prisoner in an amorous cage.
I know not what to do.
because you have put me in a spot, as usual.
My desire overflows.
and I am happy, but my heart is restless.
